Retiring soon and Dress for a Night Out

Hello Everyone

Before today's project - I have a link for the retiring lists! Sad but true, every year we have to make room in the catalogue for new goodies, so old favourite will be leaving us. There are a few items discounted too - but be quick either way - retiring items tend to sell out quickly. I have already had to disappoint one of my lovely ladies this morning - so check and see if there is anything you MUST have and let me know.

Click HERE and scroll down. You can download the files in PDF or Excel - your choice. The little crosses mean it has already sold out. There is one file for stamps, one for accessories.

So now for the project. Today I am sharing a project made with the Dress Up die from Stampin' Up! You can find it along with a matching stamp set in the Spring/Summer catalogue (also ending soon!) - buy them both and you will save 15%

On the card below I used all three dies. I cut the dress form die out of Natural Composition Speciality DSP. I then sponged Early Espresso ink over the dress form to make the pre-embossed images really pop.

I used the sleeved dress die to cut the jacket in Silver Glimmer paper. (If you want to see how to make the jacket, scroll back and you will find a video showing this).

The dress on the right is cut with the final die in Basic Black and the pleats made using Crystal Effects.

The rail ends are made with the tiny Christmas Ornament punch from the Merry Minis punch pack and I used one of the tiny clothes hangers from the Hung Up Cute Clips.

I hand cut the bag and made the handles with the Large Oval punch and finished the card with lots of Basic Rhinestones. I hope you like it!

Dress Up Starts Here.....

Hello Everyone

Have you see the Dress Up dies in the Spring/Summer catalogue from Stampin' Up! Since I bought mine a few weeks ago they have lived on my craft desk! I just love all the things you can do with these dies.

I have a couple of videos to share with you over the next two weeks and lots and lots of different samples. Here are a few just for a starter....I told you I had made a lot! LOL

Here are a few close ups so you can see the embellishments and techniques I have used...

Below you can see ribbon and a brad on the Red Glimmer paper dress, a Vanilla Flower trim with a Large Pearl, small Basic Peals and Victoria Crochet ribbon on the DSP dress and on the final dress layered ribbon and an In-Color Dahlia.

Below I cut down the dress with a punch and the scallop edge of one of the dress dies to create an apron. The one on the right has the bodice stamped with a stamp from the Artistic Etchings stamp set and the skirt is cut with the Scallop Circle die.

The dress on the left below was first cut in Whisper White, then embossed using the Vintage Wallpaper die, them rubbed over with Frost White Shimmer Paint. I finished with a piece of Silver Glimmer paper to extend the length of the dress. On the right I used ribbon and Bakers Twine to create a bow to go on the jacket. I have a video showing another type of jacket made with this die coming up on Tuesday.

As I said - this is just the start - keep visiting for more ideas and techniques!

Springtime Brooch

Hello Everyone

Today is the final project I am sharing using the Artisan Embellishment kit....for now! LOL

The flower and lace were my last pieces so I decided to make a brooch to wear on my Stampin' Up! apron. I used a 1 3/4" circle of Primrose Petals cardstock and attached the vanilla lace using red Sticky Strip. I used another circle and more sticky strip to secure it and attach a pin.

Along with the flower I punched a butterfly and added tiny Basic Pearls. I tied a bow in the last piece of pink ribbon and then glued on leaves made with the Two Step Bird punch.

So here are all the other things I made with a single kit. If you want to see any close, scroll back through my posts and you will find them all.

Kraft Gift Box and Time for Tea card

Hello Everyone

Another Artisan Embellishment kit project, this time used to decorate one of the Kraft Gift boxes from Stampin' Up! I used more of the Tea Time designer series paper, and if you want to see how easy it is to cover these boxes, come back on Tuesday for my weekly video. :)

Wouldn't this box be great filled with home backed cookies?

And to go with it how about this card - same dsp pack, but this time combined with the Tea Shoppe stamp set. Loving the stack of tea cups that co-ordinate with the paper so well.

Thank you for visiting and I will be back on Tuesday with a video for you.

Artisan Embellishments Lace Card

Hello Everyone

Of all my Artisan Embellishment kit projects, I think this might be my favourite. I started with an Early Espress card base and then layered up with torn Core'dinations cardstock and Crumb Cake cardstock stamped with the Travel Journal wheel.

I used both our butterfly punches and distressed the Core-dinations cardstock with the Stampin' Sanding system block. I added three basic pearls to the butterfly.

I finished with lace and Seam Binding ribbon from the kit and also used the heart and love tag.

Artisan Embellishments with Dress Up

Hello Everyone

Another project made with the Artisan Embellishments kit. I should say I only had one kit - so with three more projects still to share you can see you get plenty to play with.

Here I combined the embellishments with a die cut of the dress form from the Dress Up die from Stampin' Up! Those dies are SO much fun. I have a ton of examples coming up - but here I stamped the flower from the Oh, Hello stamp set onto a die cut piece of DSP from Tea for Two. I stamped the Oh, Hello sentiment, then just punched out the 'hello' word using the Ticket Builder Punch.

The used the wire attached to the flowers to secure the ribbon and embossed the Core'dinations cardstock with the Elegant Lines embossing folder.

As I said, I have more to show you next week after my Tuesday video. Hope you like today's card.

Artisan Embellishments Scrapbook Layout

Hello Everyone

I don't scrapbook enough - but couldn't resist using some of the beautiful Artisan Embellishments kit to make this layout.

It shows my two nieces Mia and Phoebe enjoying watermelon for breakfast and my sister Maria and I during our Cyprus holiday last year.

There are so many accents included in the kit, below you can see a close up of one of the tags, and the large lace ribbon which I attached to designer paper from the Tea for Two pack. It goes so well with the Artisan Embellishments kit.

The 'Remember When' sentiment comes from the Word Play stamp set - a set just full of fabulous scrapbooking sentiments.

So tell me - have I inspired you to scrapbook today?

By the Tide in Pool Party

Hello Everyone

Another card made using the By the Tide stamp set today. I just LOVE these stamps - you can go with all sorts of colour combinations. Here I chose Pool Party, Marina Mist and Soft Suede.

I created the 'sand' at the bottom with a torn strip of Crumb Cake cardstock, spritzed using the Spritzer Tool from Stampin' Up! I spritzed with ink from the Soft Suede marker.

I finished with a button and a scrap of Natural Trim ribbon.

Hope you like it. I have a lovely series of projects coming up next week. Come back soon. :)

By the Tide Man Card

Hello Everyone

May is here already! Can you believe it?

Today I am sharing a fabby man-card made with the By The Tide stamp set. I love how this card turned out. The designer paper is from Comfort Cafe, and I used Early Espresso Bakers twine layered over Natural Trim Ribbon, which you can find in the Spring/Summer Catalogue from Stampin' Up!

Most of the stamping was done in Soft Suede, the shell was stamped in Stazon black ink.

Hope you like today's project. I will be back on Sunday with another By the Tide card.
