Wishing You Well Glimmer Paper Card

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

Today I am featuring a card - or choice of cards - we made in class. My lovely ladies had to choose...wreath or bouquet - gold red or green - single or double ended flag....so many decisions! LOL

All the cards they made looked lovely and I hope you will be inspired by this video to make your own.

We used the 6" X 6" stack of Joyous Noel Glimmer paper as well as the Wishing You Well stamp set.

Anyone for a Sleigh Ride?

Hello Everyone,

How much do I love the new Sleigh Ride Edgelits from Stampin' Up!? Well I used them in my first class using Autumn Winter Catalogue goodies.

They work with the big shot to create up to three layers of elements to create a winter scene - or indeed a summer scene if you leave out the sleigh!

You can see the detail in this close up - I used Pool Party cardstock as the 'sky' area and then layered over with Whisper White houses, Vellum cardstock trees and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper for the sleigh. How pretty is that?

Angel Punch Art - inspired by Tracey W

Hello Everyone

In our team we have a punch art princess. Her name is Tracey Walters - and if you have an old UK catalogue collection, you can see her picture as a hostess!

Well Tracey does amazing punch art of all kinds, and this is based on one of hers. We made it in class and the main parts, (dress and wings), are done with the Gift Bow die.

Other punches are 1 1/4 & 1 3/8" circle punches, word window and scallop oval. The greeting is from White Christmas. The halo is done in Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and we added sequins to her wings and her angel face is drawn on with the fine Project Life marker. I had some giant paper clips, so we made her into a book mark at class.

Thank you Tracey W for the inspiration.

VIDEO - Houses in the Snow - embossed with love!

Hello Everyone

Today's video was something I thought of as soon as I saw that Santa-and-Reindeer stamp in the Holiday Home stamp set. I thought of doing the effect on Night of Navy or Basic Black cardstock, but decided in the end to go for a softer look with Soft Suede.

Enjoy the video - I make a slightly different version to this one - come back and tell me which one you prefer.

Back on Saturday with a classic festive punch art project.

VIDEO Pop-up card in a box & Disney Card

Hello Everyone

***STOP PRESS*** If you haven't seen it, scroll down to the next post for details of the retirement list . Don't miss out - the Tulips from today's project are on there!

These cards have been everywhere! I have been demonstrating them at my spring events, and some of my lovely ladies have asked for a reminder, so they can make them at home.

I am also sharing a giant version I made for my SIL for a special birthday. Her gift from all the family was a trip to Walt Disney World - she was super excited when she opened her 'reveal' card.

To create the castle I used the Square Lattice embossing folder, the Clockworks stamp set, Silver Glimmer Paper and Open Sea stamp set. On the back you can also see the Perfect Pennants and Around the World stamp sets - and my ONLY non-Stampin' Up! punch - the Mickey shape!
(Several of these items are about to retire - contact me for more info).

Hope you like! Back soon with more.

Fabulous Festive Flurry

Hello Everyone

Today's project is one of the cards we made at my recent special classes. It features the lovely Festive Flurry stamp set.

We made a large card using an A4 sheet of Smoky Slate cardstock and cut the Window Frames layers to reflect the colours used in the stamping, (Island Indigo and Coastal Cabana).

We went to down on this one with Silver Embossing, Iridescent Ice Embossing, Silver Glimmer paper, Silver Ribbon and the beautiful Winter Frost DSP.

I hope you like this project.

Sneak peek no. 2

Hello Everyone

Only a couple of days to go...on Tuesday our new catalogue goes live and I will be here with a video featuring new catalogue goodies....and there is SO much to show you.

Today's sneak peek features a couple of things for you...firstly a quick look at our colour changes for this year.

In Europe we have five new 'In Colors', six returning colours and four brand new core colours. There are so many new colour combinations to play with it is hard to know where to start...but I think I will start with our In Colors.

Our In Colors reminded me of Art Deco Miami colours - so I though I would start with a cocktail card!
Taking you around the cocktail umbrella...we have Baked Brown Sugar at the top, (a warm brown colour), then from left to right you see Costal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush, (oooh love it!) and Pistachio Pudding.

I made the umbrella by punching with the scallop triangles using the Petite Pennant Builder Punch. I then snipped the edges. I love how they go together.

The lime is made with a 1 3/4" circle punch and you may spot another new punch shape if you look closely!

I cut the glass out of Window Sheet and backed it with Silver Glimmer Paper painted with an Aqua Painter in Strawberry Slush.

I think it looks like a Miami strawberry cocktail!

I will be back on Tuesday with a video featuring these same colours....can't wait to share!

Bathing -Dress up

Hello Everyone

Dress up is not just for dresses! Here is a card made using the Dress Up die to create swimming costumes.

I cut the dresses in Floral District designer series paper. I then used the 1 1/4" circle punch make the leg cut outs.

The bikini needed a little hand cutting and I used the pricking tool, Basic Rhinestones and Bakers Twine to finish it.

I made the sand with torn, spritzed Crumb Cake cardstock and Champagne Glimmer Paper. The Suntan Lotion bottle is made using the Jewellery Punch and the Flip Flops were hand cut and finished with Bakers Twine.

Back on Tuesday with another Dress Up video - are you tempted to get these dies yet?

Retiring soon and Dress for a Night Out

Hello Everyone

Before today's project - I have a link for the retiring lists! Sad but true, every year we have to make room in the catalogue for new goodies, so old favourite will be leaving us. There are a few items discounted too - but be quick either way - retiring items tend to sell out quickly. I have already had to disappoint one of my lovely ladies this morning - so check and see if there is anything you MUST have and let me know.

Click HERE and scroll down. You can download the files in PDF or Excel - your choice. The little crosses mean it has already sold out. There is one file for stamps, one for accessories.

So now for the project. Today I am sharing a project made with the Dress Up die from Stampin' Up! You can find it along with a matching stamp set in the Spring/Summer catalogue (also ending soon!) - buy them both and you will save 15%

On the card below I used all three dies. I cut the dress form die out of Natural Composition Speciality DSP. I then sponged Early Espresso ink over the dress form to make the pre-embossed images really pop.

I used the sleeved dress die to cut the jacket in Silver Glimmer paper. (If you want to see how to make the jacket, scroll back and you will find a video showing this).

The dress on the right is cut with the final die in Basic Black and the pleats made using Crystal Effects.

The rail ends are made with the tiny Christmas Ornament punch from the Merry Minis punch pack and I used one of the tiny clothes hangers from the Hung Up Cute Clips.

I hand cut the bag and made the handles with the Large Oval punch and finished the card with lots of Basic Rhinestones. I hope you like it!

Festive Trio

Hello Everyone

Three more Christmas Class projects for you today.

The first two are simple cards we made at my Christmas Stamp a Stack - simple designs, but effective. The top one could easily be changed up to make a card for any occasion. The papers are from the fabby Festival of Prints stack - also perfect for any time of year.

The gift box is a classic design made from a single sheet of A4 cardstock. I used the red Glimmer paper to give some sparkle and finished with a bow and Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine.

Wishing a Happy Christmas to each and every one of you.

Snowflake Cut Out

Hello Everyone

One of the things I love about the new Snow Flurry die from the Stampin' Up! Autumn/Winter catalogue is that nothing is wasted. I had cut out some sparkly red snowflakes from the Glimmer Paper, and realised that the leftover would make a fabulous card.

I attached the red Glimmer Paper to a white card and just added the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes and the white Bakers Twine and a snip of ribbon and my card was done.

I love it! Hope you like it too.

BLOG HOP ON FRIDAY!

Now do come back on Friday - I am taking part in a team blog hop and there will be lots of ideas and projects for you....

Take your pick...

Hello Everyone

During February, I offered a choice of card, but both featured the Sprinkled Expressions stamps, Confetti background stamps, Embosslits - heart or flower, Two Tags die and large scallop circle punch.

I love the way the confetti stamps work so well with the hearts and flowers on Sprinked Expressions and the colour combination is Naturals Ivory and Cherry Cobbler.

We finished with the spotty Cherry Cobbler ribbon and three little hearts or flowers in the very sparkly red Glimmer Paper. We made matching envelopes and also stamped on the inside...

So which card would you have chosen to make?
