Birthday Owl

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing a cute birthday card that we made during our December classes. We used a top note background and the Owl punch to make the sweet birthday owl.

The stamps come from Party this Way and Funky Four - the wings of the owl are made using the Boho Blossoms punch and the leaves made using the Little Leaves die.

I did the eyes in advance because I wanted to use Crystal Effects and it takes a little while to dry when you use a blob to make the 3D eyes. Now we have the Multipurpose adhesive sheets, I could make them all up on the adhesive sheet, so they could easily be stuck on during the class.

This card was inspired by the one I made for my niece Phoebe on her second birthday, so I though I would show you her card too....

Hope you like my cute little owl cards :)

More Mini Milk Cartons

Hello Everyone

Just a quick post today to share a couple of cute Mini Milk cartons made using the Big Shot die. I found lots of little images to decorate them. I started with the new Itty Bitty Bits from the mini catalogue and then added the mushrooms from Funky Four and cup cakes from Crazy for Cupcakes.

Hope you like these little boxes. Back in a couple of days with more!

Card for Chloe

Hello Everyone

I just realised there are a few birthday cards I haven't yet shown you - even thought I made them last year!

This is the first for sweet little Chloe, who is my downline Nina's little girl. She is now a big sister, but I made her this card just before her sister Isabel was born.

The card is made with four stamp sets. The main image is from Crazy for Cupcakes and features a few of those adhesive diamontes as sprinkles. The sentiment is from the hostess set Afterthoughts. The background is done with Confetti - currently my most used background stamp option. And finally those sweet little toadstools come from Funky Four, which also has the flowers and leaves that I used on the envelope.

I used the Stampin' Up! cutter kit to create a tear off down the side, so that the edge can be removed and used as a bookmark. With that in mind I used my crop a dile to add a jumbo brad and ribbons to the top of the card.

Back soon with another 'forgotten' card!

January Class Project & Crafting with Mia

Hello Everyone

Today's project is one of those I am teaching at my classes this month. It is always nice to make a calendar of some sort in January. This year I am making this cute one that folds into a little book.

The calendar pages are stamped using the Sweet Summer SaleABration set. It is very delicate and we are using the Subtles inks so that the dates are still clearly visible.

This is the outside with a belly band closure. This is stamped with the little flower from a oh-so-cute stamp set called Funky Four.

Another photo of the inside shows more of the stamps I have used. The tree is also from Funky Four and the little bird is from Sweet Summer.

The last picture is the back - or is it the front? Both are so pretty I can't decide LOL! Another Funky Four image.

I thought I would also share some photos of a crafty afternoon I had with my niece Mia. As I have said before she is my family crafting buddy and we love to create together.

She always has great ideas and arrived saying she wanted to make a 3D vase of flowers. It had to be a paper vase and had to be a proper vase shape. Here is what we came up with...

Here is a close up of the vase and flowers...the vase is stamped with Sweet Summer one of the SaleABration sets. We made it with a single sheet of whisper white cardstock. Stamped all over and then cut into 1" strips. We layed them across one another in a rough circle and secured them with a brad. Then we popped a cotton bud, (q-tip), holder inside while we held the strips up and tied with a ribbon. I made the pink flower, Mia made the purple one and we did half the blue one each.

We also made two cute boxes. Mia made hers for my DH Mike, she hand drew that guitar, which I couldn't do - so I used Just Believe stamps to make the box for my sister and Mia's mummy.

Mia had brought a diary without a cover, so we made a cover and a matching pen box to go with it. (Pic a bit blurry - sorry about that).

And finally we made some thank you cards for Mia to send out for her Christmas presents. How is that for a busy afternoon?

Do leave a message and let Mia know what you think.  Back in a couple of days with another class project.
