Smile while you Grunge!

Hello Everyone

Today's card has a similar colour theme to one I showed earlier this month - and once again my Gorgeous Grunge stamp set has been in action.

The sentiment comes from the Happy Day stamp set and the edge done in Bermuda Bay cardstock is cut with the Large Scallop Edgelits.

A simple and quick card - I hope you like it.

Reflection Revisited

Hello Everyone

Another class project today. I love the reflection technique and the bird from Simply Sketched was just crying out to be reflected! Also some of my lovely class ladies asked for a reminder on how to achieve this - so their wish was my command.

If you want to know how too, click on VIDEOS on the right side of my blog, and scroll back. I did one back at the beginning of the year.

The edging on the card was layered with the Finishing Touches edgelit over the Delicate Designs embossing folder.

Hope you like! See you on Tuesday for the last video of the month.

Embossed Gift Card Holder

Hello Everyone

Today's project is a beautiful embossed gift card holder I taught in class this month. It is a simple design, but made lovely with the Alphabet Press embossing folder and colour combination of Soft Brown Sugar and Coastal Cabana.  (If you look closely you will see my sampler is embossed upside-down - I knew to teach how to do it the right way up for my class ladies LOL).

We used a Chalk Talk tag on the outside, and secured with the lovely Coastal Cabana elastic ribbon. Inside we used a quarter of a Tag a Bag gift bag to make a cute gift card holder. I decorated with Around the World stamps - but gave the ladies the option of going for flowers if they wished.

If you are local to Southampton, England and would like to come to one of my classes, just contact me, we would love to welcome you along.

VIDEO Starburst Card

Hello Everyone

Today's video will help you use up all those little scraps of DSP that you can't possible throw away! And why throw them out, when you can create cards like this?

I hope you enjoyed today's video - let me know how you use up your scraps!

Six Sided Strawberry Slush!

Hello Everyone

Today's project features another of our new money-saving bundles from Stampin' Up! This time I am using the Six Sided Sampler stamp set and matching Hexagon punch.

Having the punch makes this faux quilt card super-quick.

I stamped the hexagon images on very vanilla and then punched out. I assembled them on a vanilla cardstock layer covered with tombow adhesive and then simply trimmed the edges off.  Next I stamped the greetings - which are also in the Six Sided Sampler set.

I then ran the layer through my Big Shot using the Honeycomb Embossing Folder before adhering to a square of Smoky Slate and then on to the Strawberry Slush card.

The tag on the side is made with the Chalk Talk tags and framelits and I finished with some lovely Strawberry Slush ribbon. Good enough to eat! :)

Fabulous Flower Creations from two fabulous ladies!

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing two projects made by my lovely downlines, Tracey and Sara. I was a VERY proud Stampin' Up! Mummy when they came first and second in a demonstrator choice competition at my upline's quarterly training.

Their projects are both gorgeous, so I had to share them with you....

Tracey made stunning heart wreath using the Flower Shop stamps and the Blossom punch. She used a beautiful colour combination of Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe and Baked Brown Sugar.

Sara made this cute card holder. It is hard to see on the photo, but it is stamped on the outside with the Very Vintage wheel and decorated with Washi Tape. She also used the Flower Garden stamps and Pansy Punch. Doesn't her project make a great gift?

So I am super proud of my two lovely Dazzling Dreamers - I hope you liked their projects as much as I do! And look at their reward - they got stamps! What could be better...?

Around the World Retirement Card

Hello Everyone

Today's project is a swap card I made featuring the Around the World stamp set. I bought this set mainly for scrapbooking in my This and That holiday scrapbook, but thought that some of my fellow demos would appreciate a sample using this set.

As you can see, Gorgeous Grunge is rarely off my desk at the moment - flowers, postcards, planes - it goes with everything - scroll down to my previous posts to see! :)

The red border is made with one of the Finishing Touches Edgelits. I had steered away from Edgelits before because they were fiddly - but now I have the Magnetic Platform for my big shot, making lots of these was a breeze.

Hope you liked today's project, back a video on Tuesday.

Gorgeous Grunge Post Card

Hello Everyone

Now after a very girly grunge card on Tuesday's video, I decided to share something not quite so feminine!

This one is uses not only the Gorgeous Grunge in Island Indigo, Smoky Slate and Coastal Cabana Ink, but also the Post Card stamp. I stamped it on Very Vanilla cardstock and then daubed the edges with Crumb Cake ink to give a vintage look.

The tag is from Chalk Talk, and comes bundled with the matching framelit, which I used to cut out the backing layer. I used the stamp from the Postage Due, punched out and daubed freely! LOL

I am really loving my Gorgeous Grunge stamps - have you got yours yet?

My Team, Notebooks and Designer Series Paper

Hello Everyone

Did you know I have a team of demonstrators called the Dazzling Dreamers? (Named because "If you can dream it, you can do it") They are an amazing group of lovely ladies and we have a ball everytime we get together. We are known for our cocktails and cake and lots of laughter!

Recently we had a team meeting and started off in the garden as it was such a warm evening....here we all are....

...except for lovely Tracy who was taking the photo....

I made my team some little gifts - which I thought I would share with you today... covered jotters stamped using the AMAZING Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and decorated with a Flower Shop flower and some of our new elastic ribbon in Strawberry Slush. I did their names using the Stampin' Up! digital software - My Digital Studio. Coming soon.....

As well as lots of stamping at team training, we also did a Designer Series Paper swap. We each bought a pack of DSP from the new catalogue, cut pieces of each design, and shared them with one another. The sharing process involved standing on the lawn and passing the samples around as though we were playing some strange stamping game! LOL

I then demonstrated how to make a sampler with all our DSP shares, here are some photos...

So if you would like to join us at our next Dazzling Dreamers team training - click on the Join My Team tab at the top of this blog and contact me!

Tag a Bag Golf Gifting

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing my take on the golf ball gift box on page 158 of the new Stampin' Up! catalogue. (Contact me if you haven't seen the catalogue yet).

I thought the Tag a Bag Gift Box was a great way to give golf balls....but I thought I could come up with something with a bit more - well - golfiness! LOL

I made the golf ball images by punching six 1 3/8" circles and then using a hand held punch to punch little holes through three of them. I then used a little Crumb Cake ink to add some signs of wear, and layered the balls up on the unpunched circles.

The tees are made by hand cutting the pointy bit. The top of the tee is created by snipping one end of the Mosaic punch shape - I think it works a treat.

The flags are stamped with the new Sketched Alphabet & Numbers stamp set, and punched using the Petite Pennants Builder Punch. I used a wooden skewer to attach them and made small holes in the top of the box to secure them.

The DSP is Gingham Garden and I made nesting from Old Olive cardstock. Do you like it? I would love to see your designs using the new Tag a Bag boxes!
