Stampin' Up! Excitement in the UK!

Hello Everyone

Yay! It's the most exciting day of the Stampin' Up! year here in the UK - the arrival of the BIG NEW STAMPIN' UP! ANNUAL CATALOGUE!

Am I shouting? Well maybe - because we have a lot to shout about. Our new catalogue is close to half as big again the 2011-12 catalogue. We have never brought so many new and exciting crafting supplies to the UK and Europe.

To see the new catalogue right now - click here and you can see the online version. Or why not contact me for your own copy?

If you are coming to one of my Open House Launch Events over the next few days, I will have lots of lovely projects to show you (and home baked cake too), but if not, contact me to book a party soon.

So what do I love from the new Catalogue -----hmmmm! I think that would be EVERYTHING!!! Yes Elizabeth is over excited again. But I need to start somewhere - so how abour our new In Colours.... the stamps are from a sweet set called Betsy's Blossoms....

....the new in colours are shown on the flags; from left to right we have Midnight Muse, Primrose Pink, Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit and Raspberry Ripple. Now Raspberry Ripple is my favourite - loving the rich deep red/pink - but they are all lovely.

OK - one more project, featuring Betsys Blossoms and new new In Colours....

Do you see that cute stitched ribbon too? I can't wait to share more of my new projects with you so I will be back in a couple of days with more.

Can I shout again? I LOVE STAMPIN' UP! :)

Making More Cake!

Hello Everyone

I am back with some more ideas using the Make a Cake stamp set. Here is one I made from a swap from my lovely upline Amanda. Don't you love that she made a blue cake?

My final suggestion for this set is to bake a Christmas Cake, (with a matching tag). You can just see I used the diagonal plate on my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to add some texture to the white background card.

The holly is done with a stamp from the Tiny Tags stamp set.

I hope you have enjoyed these ideas and I will be back soon with some more lovely projects featuring stamps from the Autumn /Winter and upcoming new BIG Stampin' Up! catalogue.

Join the Blog Hop

Hello Everyone

Today is the day of the 2012 Inspiring Inkin' blog hop. You may have come to me from the lovely Jane's Blog - I bet you loved her projects! I hope you enjoy having a hop around to some lovely ideas from both the Stampin' Up! Autumn/Winter catalogue and also some sneak peeks from the upcoming BIG catalogue.

Now I am always excited about a new Stampin' Up! catalogue - but this one is the MOST exciting ever! It features over 200 pages of wonderful goodies - just wait until you see it on 1st October!

(If you would like a catalogue and you are not already coming to my launch party or the launch event of one of my demonstrator friends, do contact me!)

So first a project or two from the Autumn / Winter catalogue. I totally love the new Snow Flurry Bigz die! It cuts several layers of cardstock at once, so you can make lots of snowflakes really quickly - it is also a traditional 'cookie cutter' die, so it will cut chipboard and heavy materials.

This is a card we will be making at my October classes, (I have just a couple of spaces if you would like to join us).

And here is another example...made with the stunning Cherry Cobbler Tulle - I will be demostrating how to make these decorations at my upcoming parties (formerly known as workshops LOL).

Now I hardly know what to hint at or tell you about from the new BIG catalogue from Stampin' Up! There is so much...but here are a couple of cards made with a stamp set called Make a Cake. You can make your cake for any occasion, here are the ones I baked for you! :)

The first features the co-ordinating Patio Party Designer Series Paper. I added a bit of bling to the cake with Dazzling Diamonds.

This card uses the same stamp set, but this time I made a wedding cake. The greeting comes from Itty Bitty Banners.

Well I do hope you have enjoyed my projects - I will be back soon with some more, but in the meantime do click here and continue on to Lynne to see what she has created.

Snowflake Cut Out

Hello Everyone

One of the things I love about the new Snow Flurry die from the Stampin' Up! Autumn/Winter catalogue is that nothing is wasted. I had cut out some sparkly red snowflakes from the Glimmer Paper, and realised that the leftover would make a fabulous card.

I attached the red Glimmer Paper to a white card and just added the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes and the white Bakers Twine and a snip of ribbon and my card was done.

I love it! Hope you like it too.

BLOG HOP ON FRIDAY!

Now do come back on Friday - I am taking part in a team blog hop and there will be lots of ideas and projects for you....

Pillow Box Die

Hello Everyone

Do you have the pillow box die? It is another fond farewell from our catalogue. I find this such a great die for party favours and little gifts - and this is one that will certainly stay in my personal collection!

Here is an example made with our Vellum cardstock and embossed....

The Always sentiment is from Always Elegant - another set that will leave us this month.

Here are a few more of the pillow boxes we have made over the last year or two....

Hope you like them and if you have this die - why not get it out and have a play?

More Farewells...

Hello Everyone

Today I am saying goodbye to a colour and a wheel! The wheel is called Petite Petals and will be leaving us shortly. Here I wheeled over a whole sheet of Whisper White cardstock and then punched out flowers using the Fancy Flower punch. I then daubed the edges of the petals to give a bit of dimension.

I give thank you cards with all orders, so I tend to make lots of cards at once.

Our second farewell is to Concord Crush - that beautiful rich color is retiring, along with it's friends Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait.

But never fear - we will have five new beautiful In Colours coming in October! :)

Season of Joy & Core'dinations Revealed

Hello Everyone

Well how am I going to design Christmas classes without Season of Joy? In fact this is a set I have used all year around over and over.

I know most of you already have this stamp set, but if you don't now is your last chance!

But just when I wonder what I will do without one thing - Stampin' Up! bring up another to make me smile! I will be showing how to create this wonderful card at upcoming workshops. This one also features Tiny Tags and Petite Pairs.

I have some other examples to show you over the next few weeks.

Vintage Vogue & Ornament

Hello Everyone

Don't you just love Vintage Vogue? One of my lovely downline Sara purchased this as her first ever stamp set - and made every card with it for weeks! It really is so versatile. Below I have used the Adorning Accents embossing folders.

This is an even more vintage Vintage Vogue!

And finally a very distressed combination - which to you prefer?

And now for that final Christmas decoration. This is my take on the ornament that is on the front on the Autum/Winter catalogue from Stampin' Up! There are so many versions in blogland, I decided to make one with the Ornament punch.

I just love how the Tulle Ribbon works with this design - and I used Dazzling Details glitter around the edges - perfect for those of you who like to glitter without glittering themselves! LOL The floret is done with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.

I have more goodies to show you....back soon!

Greenhouse Garden Goodbye & Snowflake Hello!

Hello Everyone

Oh how I am going to miss Greenhouse Garden! I just love this stamp set so we said goodbye to it in style during our last project in August. It is a two-step stamp set and we stamped the coloured images in So Saffron and Pool Party with the second layers stamped in Soft Suede. I know most of you already have this beautiful stamp set - but if you still want to add it to your collection - let me know before it goes forever.

Now on to the Snowflake Ornament that I love the best! Here I cut all three layers with the Snow Flurry die. Aren't they pretty layered up?

I will be showing how to make these ornaments at upcoming workshops and they will all be displayed on my Christmas tree this year!

One more ornament from my display stand to show you on the next post....

Cupcakes in Tea Shops and Ribbons on Snowflakes

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing some of my favourite things - hence the title of this post! The first is a card we made in August classes featuring the soon-to-be-gone Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set. We made a stamp set using the Edgelits Dies called Adorning Accents. We created the 'shop canopy' using the scalloped die topped with Word Window punches. We used the Tea Shoppe stamp set for the shop sign and the teacup.

Now on with with Snowflake no.2! Once again these were cut with the largest of the Snow Flurry die shapes. Next I inked them with Versamark and heat embossed with Cherry Cobbler, Gold and Silver embossing powder respectively. I finished them with Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon and some Basic Rhinestones.

Hope you like them - or did you prefer the sparkly ones from my last post?

First of the snowflakes....and something from the summer!

Hello Everyone

As promised here are the first of my tree decorations - made using some of the gorgeous products from the NEW Autumn/Winter catalogue from Stampin' Up!

This one is made using one of my favorite new toys, the Bigz Die called Snow Flurry. Oh how I have wanted something to make snowflakes - and being a Bigz Die you can cut heavy duty chipboard - perfect for decorations.

These are cut with the largest of the three snowflake shapes, then given some bling with Dazzling Diamonds and the beautiful Scalloped Tulle Ribbon - here in Crumb Cake, (it also comes in Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso.

And from the summertime here is a card we made in August. The stamps are from The Open Sea - which I am delighted is staying with us - but we will be waving Sail Away off at the docks. This single stamp was used to stamp direct on to the card and then again on to Whisper White cardstock. We hand cut the sails which gives a beautiful effect.

Back soon with more to show you.

In with the new....and out with the old!

Hello Everyone

More comings and goings today. We are saying goodbye today to another single stamp, Triple Treat Flower. We are also losing the Thanks sentiment from Thank You Kindly and the narrow grossgrain ribbon. Let me know if you would like to order any of these items before they go. :)

Here is the technique card we did during our August class - the Baby Wipe technique. We went for bright zingy colour.

Here is another example using the same technique. This one uses the Framelit Labels cut in Vellum Cardstock and embossed.

So now in with the new....would you like to learn to make some of these lovely Christmas decorations? I will be teaching them at a workshop near you soon. Just get yours booked and get ready to make hand made trimmings for your tree.

I will show you a close look in my next post. Back soon!

NEW Autumn / Winter Catalogue

Hello Everyone

Well I can't believe it is September already - where did the summer go? But I am still smiling because here in Stampin' Up! land it is all excitement.

Firstly we have our first 'seasonal' catalogue - not a mini - this is an A4 size catalogue with a wonderful range of Autumn, Halloween, Christmas and Valentines stamps and beautiful accessories.

Contact me for your very own catalogue or click here to see it right now.

Secondly we have our Last Chance List out. This features all our retiring products - so get them now before they go! Let me know if there is anything you need from the retirement list.

You can see the retiring stamps by clicking HERE and the retiring accessories by clicking HERE!

The butterfly and the flowers are on the retirement list....ahhh! The butterfly is one of our individual stamps - All a Flutter - and the flowers come from Vintage Vogue.

The butterfly was stamped using Stazon ink, I then coloured the wings using markers. Next cut out the image and inked the whole thing using clear Versamark Ink. I added Heat & Stick powder, heated and topped with Dazzling Diamonds to create the pretty effect.

Back soon with more in with the new and out with the old posts!
