Stationery Box Class Close Ups

Hello Everyone

Last month I ran a fun evening class where we made a stationery box and some luxury cards and tags. I though I would show some close up pictures of what we created today. You may notice the Big Shot came in very handy with making these projects. We used the Just Believe stamp set and the fabulous Cherry Cobbler ink throughout.

The first group features the Top Note die and Beautiful Wings Embosslits die...

The next set used the Scallop Circle die and the Ornament Punch to create the vase...

The third set features the Scallop Envelope die and the Large Heart and Heart to Heart punch...

The stationery box itself was co-ordinated with a stamp envelope and matching pen...

We had a great time making these goodies - I hope you like them too!

By special customer request I have come up with a Just Believe Stationery Box class, which I will be teaching in a local hall on Thursday 18th August.

This project comprises six luxury square cards, six matching envelopes, six tags, a stamps envelope, a matching pen and the stationery box itself. Wouldn't this set make a great gift?

The cost for this class is £25.00 and includes a pot of Tombow glue or £22 if you are one of my regular class ladies.

Pink and Brayered

Hello Everyone

As promised, I am back with another brayered sample card - this time in pink!

This time I used the flower from Hopeful Thoughts in Melon Mambo ink, then brayed over again at the lower part to give a soft misty image.

I then stamped over the top with an image from Pocket Silhouettes with White Craft ink. I love the effect. A bit of bling on the bottom left corner finished the project.

March Classes - the technique project

Each month one of the three projects I teach at my classes features a stamping technique. This month we are going to play with the brayer and the lovely Glossy White Cardstock that has appeared in the UK catalogue this year. I am really pleased to be able to teach this technique, because it works SO much better on the glossy cardstock.

I like to give some choice, so this month the ladies can choose from the two different designs, although the colour scheme will be the same. Here is the first option...

To make this card I brayered the card with several inks from Sahara Sand to Not Quite Navy to create the gradient. As my upline Amanda says, "don't be afraid of the Brayer", just ink it up will and go for it and you will be delighted with the results you can achieve.

The first choice uses the stamp set Hopeful Thoughts, the second option was made with Just Believe. Here is the panel I made as the example.

Sometimes I make a further example to show the ladies some other ideas of what they can create using the technique I am teaching and this month I did two. Here is a sneak peak - pop back here in a couple of days to see them in full.

Card for my Mummy!

Hello Everyone

As promised, back with another card I discovered that I hadn't shared. This one was made for my Mum's birthday, back in November.

We had just received the stamp set Just Believe at Stampin' Up! convention, so I wanted to have a play with the technique we had used there. I used Cherry Cobbler cardstock, matching ink for the flowers and butterfly and Wild Wasabi ink for the grasses.

The butterfly comes from the Cottage Garden stamp set and I added three little adhesive pearls. The ribbon across the bottom of the card is Early Espresso satin.

Tea and Biscuits and an International Crafty Gift

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing a project we did during my December classes. It was Christmas so we had to have a bit of chocolate - so I decided to do a tea and chocolate biscuits gift pack.

We used the fabulous stamp set called Just Believe and used the marker to stamp technique to create the coloured image. I LOVE that soft wide striped ribbon and it finished the gift bag beautifully.

Inside we attached a little bag of chocolate biscuits, (this is my sample one and the the biscuits are already gone - it is filled with tissue for the photo LOL).

At the top is a tea bag holder stamped with another stamp from the Just Believe set and punched with the fabulous Scallop Trim Border punch.

Oh - and by the way - we don't always get our tea from Harrods. My lovely niece Sophie works there and we get little gifts from the food hall from time to time :)

Now I sent one of these to my online friend Anne-Marie, who has a lovely blog...and look what she sent to me!

As well as the delicious Ghairadelli chocolates, (all gone - back on weightwatchers points now LOL), there was this exciting little gift. Around the dolly peg is a length of fabulous pom pom trim. If you are reading this in the U.S. you can find it in the holiday mini and I am sure Anne Marie would love to sell you some! It is not yet available in the UK - but keep checking back, you never know what we may get. I am going to think up a very special project to use it on. Thank you Anne Marie. X
