Beautiful You....again!

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

Happy April Fools Day!

There is something about this image that I keep coming back to. I love the combination of Pacific Point and Mint Macaron. Here I even used some Wink of Stella on her umbrella as rain drops.

I've layered the greeting on oval Stitched Shaped Framelits and gone a bit April Foolish with the embellishments - I count three pearls (coloured with a sharpie marker), 5 uncoloured pearls and three enamel hearts!

VIDEO Beautiful You Paper Piecing

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

This technique card was one we did at a class back in February I think and I just thought I would share a video for anyone who wasn't at class - or who has forgotten how to do it by now! LOL

I love this simple card - and I love the co-incidence that the green leaf looks like a jacket over the dress. Hope you enjoy the video and find some outline stamps and DSP and give it a go.

Mothers' Day Gift with Beautiful You

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

Well I hope my Mum is not looking in today - because I am sharing her Mother's Day gift - I will tell her not to peek!

I used the Beautiful You stamp set and stamped in Sweet Sugarplum and Basic Black on tissue paper. I heated the wax to apply it to a large pillar candle. I bought a large candle holder and some ribbon and decorative gravel finished the look.

They stand about 10" tall and look even better in real life!

I made another for my mother in law too...this one is finished with glass beads and is done in Flirty Flamingo.

Wishing an early Happy Mothering Sunday (which is what we brits traditionally call Mothers' Day) to all my blog visitor mothers. x

VIDEO Beautiful You Pizza Box

I taught this simple box finished with the Beautiful You stamps in my January class, so thought I would share it with you on video today.

P.S. OK - so having told you about the rock - now I am getting questions about the balls! LOL Well yes they are just props I have been using in my photos and they are edible in theory, though I'm not trying it. They are giant gum balls that were in pretty jars on decorated tables at a Stampin' Up! event for Silver Elite+ team leaders (and yes that is me!) We got a gorgeous bag and other gifts - but I thought at once what I would use those gum balls for! So as well as all the other advantages of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator - we get free balls! :) If you want to know about all the more tangible rewards - get in touch and I will tell you more! Beautiful You Thank You Card - why not join me?

Today I am sharing another of the thank you cards I send out when I receive an order. They are very heartfelt because without my lovely customers, (who have become my friends), I could not do the best job in the world -  full time Stampin' Up! demonstrator.

This little card features the Beautiful You stamp set. I stamped in Black Archival Ink from Stampin' Up! to ensure that adding water and ink wouldn't smear the image, then I painted the image with an Aqua Painter and ink. The colours I chose were Pacific Point and Mint Macaroon and the card base is in Blushing Bride.

Upcoming Beautiful You Special Class

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

This shows some of the creations you can make at my upcoming special class called 'Beautiful You'. It is designed to show you how to work both inside and outside the lines using a mixture of colouring media, papers, cardstock and to show how to turn cards into a home decor piece if you wish.

It will be a relaxed class, where you can work at your own pace, learning different techniques with watercoloring and using a range of stamps - although focussed on our Beautiful You stamp set.

The class costs £28 and includes £22 worth of Stampin' Up! goodies, including the NEW Watercolour Pencils in Stampin' Up! colours and an exclusive storage case big enough to hold an aqua painter and blender pen if you wish. You may also choose to add a frame as an optional extra. Ask me for more details.

Classes are held in my Elizabeth's Craft Room Studio in Rownhams, Southampton and are running on Tuesday 24th January 7pm, Wednesday 25th January 10am and Thursday 26th January 10am - booking essential and the closing date for bookings is 12th January.  Let me know if you'd like to come along.

Introducing Beautiful You

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

It is SO hard to choose my favourite stamp set from the new Stampin' Up! Spring Summer Catalogue - but this has to be up there!  The set is called Beautiful You and includes some lovely positive quotes and sentiments as well as the ladies to colour.

I will be back on Saturday to show some pictures of my upcoming special class, which will feature this stamp set amongst others.
