VIDEO Field Flowers Convention Card

Hello Everyone

Although I am only publishing it today, this is one of the first video's I filmed - so be kind to me! :)

It features Field Flowers, a very pretty stamp set, and was one of my swaps at convention last year.

Hope you liked today's video. I will be back with another project on Friday.

Vintage Ferris Wheel Card

Hello Everyone

Today's project is another we did in class this month. This is the second card using the same stamp set, Feeling Sentimental, but the other was clean and modern and this one is vintage and distressed.

I love how you can use the same stamps to create such different projects.

Here we stamped the background with the Travel Joural wheel, (demounted). We made the rosette with scalloped circle punches, a button. ribbon and twine.

We stamped along the bottom using Viola's lace - another demounted wheel.

Petal Cone Boxes

Hello Everyone

I made these boxes a while ago to thank some of my customers who came to help me at an event. Each contained some pretty coloured embossing powder.

They are made with the Petal Cone die and are stamped using the Pennant Parade.

I used co-ordinating brads on the top in Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Calypso Coral. If you love these colours - remember that they are likely to be retiring at the end of June, so stock up now!

Hope you like today's project.

Prize Winning Grunge!

Hello Everyone

Anyone who knows me, knows I don't really 'do' grunge - but I knew I had to get grungy when my upline Amanda set a challenge to decorate one of the Kraft Gift Boxes.

These boxes are available in our big catalogue and come looking very clean. LOL! You can stamp them, (they come flat), you can cover them in DSP, or you can ink them with sponges. Guess what I did?

I used the stamp sets Daring Adventure, Postage Due and Clockworks to decorate it. Everything is stamped and inked using Early Espresso ink. I made a belly band and finshed my project with Bakers Twine and a pin and brad from the Vintage Trinkets.

I was delighted to win the prize for best box at Amanda's team training night - up against some beautiful creations.

So want to see what the box looked like first? Check page 161 in the catalogue - you get 4 boxes for £2.75.

Spring Sampler Sampler!

Hello Everyone

Today's project is a something made using the Spring Sampler and fabby new stamp set from the Spring/Summer catalogue from Stampin' Up!

Here I have cut little bookmarks using the Two Tags die and stamped some of the cute images from this set. Therte are 24 sweet little images to use - you will love them!

I am hoping to see less welly boots this year after such a wet year in 2012 - but those little spotty ones make me want to go and stamp in the puddles!

Have you got your copy of the new Spring/Summer catalogue from Stampin' Up! yet? If not contact me and I will help you out!

VIDEO By the Tide - Brayered!

Hello Everyone

Today's video features the stamp set I was most excited about in the new Spring/Summer catalogue. It is called By the Tide. I wanted to get a true 'underwater' look so decided to with a brayer.

So have I inspired you to get your brayer out and dust it off? Let me know.

Oh, Hello Valentine!

Hello Everyone

This Valentine's card is made from the back of the card from the Happy Hello Simply Sent kit. This kit is one of the choices during Sale A Bration. I used the card front to make another project and used the back to create this project - 2 cards for 1!

First I used the fabby new Ovals Collection Framelits dies to cut an oval in the white card and then cut a smaller oval from the offcut.

I stamped the oval and the chevrons using images from the Oh, Hello! stamp set from the Spring/Summer catalogue. I stamped the white outer area using the flourish from Creative Elements.

The tickets are from the stamp set That's the Ticket, also in the Spring/Summer catalogue. I punched out with the matching Ticket Builder punch and finished with Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon and Basic Pearls.

Happy Valentines day for next week to all my blog readers!

Sparkling with Love

Hello Everyone

I have a couple of Valentines ideas for you this week. Today I am sharing a card I did a while ago, (the eagle-eyed amongst you will notice some retired DSP - shhhh), but all the other sentiments and stamps are still with us.

The Scalloped Heart of Hearts embossllit makes such a sweet element and the stamps are predominantly from Artistic Etchings.

The sparke, which shows a little better on the picture below is Champagne Shimmer Paint, mixed with rubbing alcahol and spritzed from a Stampin' Spritzer bottle - which I am delighted to say we now carry in the big catalogue. (page 179, £2.75 for 2).

The little LOVE sentiment is from Tiny Tags and is punched using the co-ordinating Jewellery Tag punch.

Back on Sunday with another Valentines project...

Quintassentially Yours

Hello Everyone

Today's card is one I made at team training with my lovely upline Amanda. How lucky was I, I picked up a piece of Newsprint DSP that said Cherry Blossom for a Cherry Cobbler card?!

I was supposed to use a sponge, but didn't see it, so after scrunching up the paper I inked it direct with the ink pad. I rather like the effect.

The layered flower is called the Quintessential Flower stamp and is a single stamp that is in the big catalogue. However, during Sale A Bration, you can recieve it FREE! Ask me how.

The greeting is from my new favourite greeting stamp set, Sassy Sentiments. I love it because you do not have to stamp those greetings straight. If they are crooked, it looks like you meant it!

Back soon with more...

NEW CATALOGUE and Time slowed down...

Hello Everyone

February already - where did that month go?

Today I am sharing a card that reminds us of a slower time - I wouldn't like to speed along on a Penny Farthing! I just love this stamp from the Feeling Sentimental stamp set. I used the Petite Curly Label punch to punch little appetures in the card and tied some white Bakers Twine around it. I also used two of our new Large Pearls here.

If you are coming to class this month, you will be making this card - why not join us if you are local?Contact me to see when I have a space for you.

When the card is closed, you can see the little birthday message through the appetures. The flowers and greeting on the card come from the stamp set called Road to Happiness.

Now for some exciting news...our new Spring/Summer catalogue is out today. See it online here! All my customers will be recieving a free copy when I see them. If you are not my customer yet, but would like to be, click here and contact me. I would love to help you.

Have a great weekend and visit again on Tuesday for another of my videos.
