I am combining it here with a Sponge Brayer technique and going for non-traditional Christmas colours as you can see.

Bike Ride In the City

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

Today's card is a combination of two stamp sets and a returning colouring base - yay - the Glossy White Cardstock is back!

This cardstock retired a few years ago, but I hung on to a few sheets as it works like a dream with a brayer - especially our Sponge Brayers. It is so easy to blend the ink and it dries really fast. If you use our Archival Ink you will need to heat set it - but our other inks need no heat. You can use markers on it too.

Here I combined Bike Ride and In the City to make a cute new home card - love the dog in the basket!

Celebration Duo Embossing Folders Card

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

I did a video on how to do cards like this back on the 10th January and realised I hadn't given you a good look at the 'other' card I flashed across the screen - so better late than never, here it is.

I just brayered with one colour over the top to the Happy sentiment from the Celebration Duo Embossing Folders. The other stamps are from the Birthday Bright stamp set. The Timeless Tags make great card embellishments as well as tags as you can see and you can choose what you cut out of the blank tag - butterflies, stars or petals. And of course then you can use the cut outs too!

P.S. Someone asked about the piece of rock I've been using in my photos recently - so here is the story. I saw it on a beach when my husband Mike and I were on a November holiday down in Cornwall. I liked the seams in it and thought at once it would make a good photography prop, so once he had finished impressing me with skimming stones I got him to pass it up to me on the quay side. So now you know :)

Braying with Decorative Masks

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

A couple of weeks ago I showed you a basic ombre technique using our new Sponge Brayers. Here I have combined them with the Hears & Stars Decorative Masks to make easy graduated backgrounds. The masks are on page 181 - or you can make a mask with any punch or die you choose.

Just lay the mask over the white card, secure with washi tape and roll over using your Sponge Brayer and choice of ink. Easy!

Sponge Brayer Creation

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

I am SO excited that the Sponge Brayers made their way from a kit into our main catalogue. Now it seems a small thing - but just look at the effects you can get!
