High Tide Silhouette with Watercolour Wash

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

Today's card was inspired by one by my team member Sara Harnett, who did a beautiful hand watercolored background.

I took the cheat's way and used the Watercolour Wash background inked up with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red.

After I stamped the lighthouse image in Basic Black, I used black and grey Watercolour Pencils and an Aqua Painter to add more dark colour to the lighthouse and get a true silhouette effect.

High Tide Block Stamping

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

Have you ever accidentally inked up the back of your block and not your stamp? Well if you have then did you know you had found a technique? Block stamping to make backgrounds is a fun technique and here I used it to create a base for the High Tide stamp set.

Just ink up your block - I used two colours - spritz with water and press down. Wait for the paper to dry before stamping any images over the top.

High Tide Reflections

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

This is a card we did at class last month using the reflection technique.  The High Tide stamp set just really lends itself to all sorts of techniques and styles and we loved making this one - with reflecting done for both the birds and the grass.
