Nailed It & Build It Pop and Flip Card

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

There have been lots of these pop and flip cards around and in fact I taught one at my recent 'Cards that make you go Ooh' special class.

So here is my take on the style, featuring the Nailed It stamps and Build It framelits. The outside looks fairly plain apart from the addition of the super fancy Urban Underground Embellishment screws! The 'husband' stamp comes from Guy Greetings.

The clever bit happens when you open the card and the inside pops and twists out to reveal the tools! I love the little nail, screw and nut stamps that go with the tools.

Nailed It & Build It Vintage Car Card

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

So as I am sharing this card, I am wondering - do you have Haynes car manuals everywhere in the world? I remember using mine to service my mini when I first started driving...but now they just plug my Hyundai into a computer to see what it needs - how times change!

Anyway, things don't change when you own a 1936 Morris 8 like my husband Mike - so this is the birthday card I made for him using the Nailed It and Build It stamps and dies...

Now if truth be told - Haynes Manuals didn't actually start till 1960 - so the manual my DH uses is the one that came with the car - but it was fun making up and mini book on the front of his birthday card. I used the Guy Greetings stamp set for the car and greeting stamps.

Hope you like it.

Nailed it and Build it Tools in a Shed Card

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

As soon as I saw the tools from the Nailed It stamp set, I knew I wanted to hang them on a wooden shed wall!

This card is made with the Hardwood background stamp and the tools are hung on screw heads created with punched silver foil and scored across.

Nailed It with Hardwood Card

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

Today's project was one we did at class using the Hardwood background stamp, Nailed It stamps and Build It framelits.

*** This stamp set and framelits are both retiring from the Stampin' Up! catalogue! Scroll to the bottom of this post and follow the link to my online store if you would like them.

\

We stamped a 'plank' of Crumb Cake cardstock with Soft Suede ink using the background stamp then stamped images from the Nailed It set on a Very Vanilla layer and sponged the edges.

Next we stamped the screwdriver on to Silver Foil and Daffodil Delight cardstock, and cut out using the Build It Framelits. We used a White Chalk Marker to make the screwdriver pop in to life

Love this card!

Nailed it in Bermuda Bay

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

So far when I have created projects using the fabulous Nailed It stamps and co-ordinating Build It framelits - I have stuck to 'proper' colours for tools - yellow and red....but why not have some subtle, Bermuda Bay coloured tools? Frankly I think Draper & Co are missing a trick! 😀

Here I stamped the tools on Silver Foil paper then in the case of the hammer and screwdriver on Whisper White. I then coloured in the handles using Watercolour Pencils a Blender Pen. I stuck the silver parts to the white and then cut out using the Framelits. (Washi tape is useful to keep everything in place while you cut).

All the nails and screws are from the Nailed It stamp set and the Happy Birthday is from Tin of Cards.

Tool box for Dad with Nailed It and Build It

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

Today's project was made with the Nailed It stamps and Build It framelits. My lovely husband has one of these rolling tool boxes in his garage - so as it is made of brick I used the Brick Wall Embossing Folder to create a background. It is in Crumb Cake cardstock, sponged with Soft Suede ink.

The drawer edges were made with strips of Silver Foil Sheets and of course all the tools were cut with the Build It dies.

The Nailed It stamp set comes with a father's day greeting so I added that too. I made a pop up version of this too - so come back next Saturday and I will share that one too.
