Update and Happy Star Wars Day

Hello and welcome to Elizabeth's Craft Room ,

Just a quick update from Elizabeth's Craft Room and a fun project for you today. I hope you and your loved ones are all safe and well.

Well I last taught a face to face class with my lovely ladies on Thursday 12th March - so we are many weeks apart. I apologies that I have not been very active on this blog during that time.

Pretty much all of my ladies are locked down and many of them live alone so I have bee been working really hard on a private group for my class ladies with daily projects and classes by post. It has been a huge learning curve for us all and a positive experience keeping our little community together but I am feeling guilty for not sharing here enough. So going forward I will try to pop on some more posts.

Starting with today - May the 4th - which some of you may know is the unofficial Star Wars Day - as in may the force (4th) be with you!

So here is a fun punch art card made with our Layering Circle Dies, Circle Punches, Chalk Marker and stars from the Stitched Stars dies. I hope you like my little BB8

Are you a last minute Lou?

Are you a last minute Lou? Are you thinking you must get started with your Christmas cards - but you don't have time? Well fear not - I have the very project for you.

Simply stamp the cord & cap and greeting images from To You & Yours, cut a sparkly bauble with the Delicate Ornaments Thinlets Dies - or a large circle punch - glue it on and your work here is done!

Quick and easy - and beautiful too!

VIDEO Embellishment Box Hat

Hello Everyone

Do you have a pile of those embellishment boxes? The ones the Stampin' Up! buttons and brads come in? I do - and today I am sharing a project to turn them into a cute hat shaped trinket box.

I hope you enjoyed the video. Why not dig out your old trinket boxes and make some pretty hats?!

VIDEO - Travelling by Liner

Hello Everyone

For those that don't know, I live in Southampton, England where all the liners and cruise ships sail from. You can often see two or three of them lined up as you drive into the city.

The Titanic sailed from here - and for those that think this image is that famous ship - nope it isn't. The Titanic had four funnels. My husband, (in his role as liner expert LOL), says it looks more like the original Queen Mary, now residing in dry dock as Hotel Queen Mary in California.

Anyway - enough of the boat lesson and on with the video…watch out for the tip on how to make the waves under the ship!

You have the stamps…now go change the world!

Hello Everyone

A couple of weeks ago I shared a video on how to make the train card in this trio - and next Tuesday I have the video showing how to make the card using the liner image.

Today I am sharing the other card. The stamp set Traveller really lends itself to all sorts of cards - and this one is designed for a graduation or exam pass card. The greetings on all three come from a stamp set called Something to Say, which has some great sentiments like those below.

 I've used the Moonlight paper stack and co-ordinating cardstock in Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey and Basic Grey for my circles and the images are stamped using Memento ink. As I said - back on Tuesday with a video for the final card in this set.

VIDEO - Traveller by Train

Hello Everyone

Today's video shows how to make the card below. It was fun to create and makes a great man card - always tricky to come up with!

I used the Traveller stamp set, Moonlight DSP, Washi Tape and That's the Ticket to make it.
