Rose Garden Thinlets - Snow White and Rose Red?

Is it just me or is there something very Disney about this rose card? I made it using the fabby Rose Garden Thinlits dies and it is either saying 'Snow White and Rose Red' or it is saying 'Beauty and the Beast' to me….not sure which?

Anyway this card is so simple - but I think really striking. For the black rose I used exactly the same technique I used on Tuesday's video with the DSP - but just substituted a Real Red outline and Basic Black cardstock. The red and white rose is just the outline adhered directly onto the Whisper White card base.

So tell me - is it saying Disney to you?

VIDEO Rose Garden Thinlits with DSP

Here's a little secret - I wasn't that sure about how much I would use the new Rose Garden Thinlits dies from the Spring Summer catalogue….and then I started creating with them! Oh my goodness! There are SO many different techniques and uses I can get from these dies…in fact I was busy making samples over Christmas and I actually had to stop myself making with them as I could have still be making rose project now!

So here is the video the first of many Rose Thinlit projects that you will see on my blog - enjoy!

Introducing Botanical Blooms

Today I am sharing a card made with the Botanical Blooms suite. You can find them on pages 26 and 27 of the Spring Summer catalogue, which you can peek at by visiting my online store here.

What is interesting about this suite that I have never seen before, is that the stamps are designed to be used with the coordinating Designer Series Paper as well as the matching Framelits.

On the card below, you can see I stamped all the leaves using the stamp set - both on the DSP and the die cut leaves too. What may not be so clear on this image is the 3D nature of the red die cut flower - the petals actually separate out and pop up.

Valentines and so much more….

WARNING! Today's post is a bit picture heavy - with lots and lots of projects made with the Love Blossoms goodies.

You can find them on pages 16-17 of the Spring Summer catalogue from Stampin' Up! and they include 6X6" Designer Series papers, stamps, accessories, PINK Glimmer Paper and the stunning Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Dies - with which I cut the black paper heart below.

This set is great for a Valentines project - but so much more. The banner in the stamp set is gorgeous (there is a matching die available too), and you will find your Teeny Tiny Wishes fit perfectly in the space.

I was honoured to be asked to the the UK Global Events Council delegate for Stampin' Up! and as such got to present these beautiful goodies at our OnStage event in November. I shared some of my samples with my team who attended.

I made them up little packs including the card and the paper sampler above. They did look cute all packaged up didn't they?

Since I got back I have made lots more projects with these goodies. As you can see I have gone more for a non-valentine theme - but with Valentines around the corner, I thought I would share them all!

So to finish off you can see some lovely packaging made by my fellow demonstrator/presenter Anja Luft - who gave me this pretty packaged card and a card made by me - with love to all of you!

I used an origami fold with punched hearts and beads and a wooden element from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit. The ribbon comes from that kit too and as you can see I stamped on it using Stazon Ink.

 Happy Valentines to you all!

Tea and more….

As promised today I am sharing a couple more projects made with the Cups and Kettle Framelits.

These dies are so versatile and work so well with lots of stamps I already have in my craft room - and indeed with Timeless Textures from the new catalogue, which is rarely off my stamp desk at the moment!

These first ones are little mini cards used as table place names. I just adore the little cutlery dies - I could never hand cut those. The little squares of DSP are 2"x2" and folded to make napkins.

This card features the Cups and Kettle Framelits again along with words from Something to Say and Timeless Textures for the spots and 'table top' bit.

Back on Tuesday with a coffee mug video!
