VIDEO Introducing Project Life from Stampin' Up!

Hello Everyone

Today's video is an introduction to a new range we have here at Stampin' Up! called Project Life. Scroll down to view it and see some of the amazing goodies in this range.

Project Life items are designed as an simple memory keeping solution - but are equally at home when making cards and projects. It is so easy to get your pictures off our phones and computers and on to a page to tell the story - so they can be enjoyed for now and in the future.

I did a layout I had been planning for 10 years! It shows that sometimes we delay scrapbooking because traditional scrapping can be time consuming - I was very pleased with how easily it came together using this system.  (As you can see it shows all the homes I have lived in - my parents moved A LOT! I've now been in the same home for 22 years and am not planning on going anywhere!

Enjoy the video and let me know what you think about Project Life!

MDF Heart Ornaments

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing a project I taught at my May classes. It was very popular with my lovely ladies and indeed was my favourite project of the year so far.

We took plain MDF hearts, covered them with Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped using the Happy Watercolour stamp set.

We made flowers using the Spiral Flower Die and daubed both them and the heart with Soft Suede ink the create a vintage effect. We used the soon-to-be-gone Little Leaves die and finished the heart with Gold Bakers Twine and Crochet Trim, (a bit hidden in the photo).

I hope you like this project.

Back tomorrow with a blog hop featuring projects from our NEW CATALOGUE LAUNCH!!! WOO HOO!!!

Cupcake Creations

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing another retiring stamp set I am sad to see go - especially as it has a matching punch. We used it recently to make some cute cards.

The background is a journalling tag, (we are going to have lots more of these to choose from soon), and we stamped and decorated the individual cupcake elements and punched them out.

The greeting reads 'It's not about how many candles you blow out, but how many cupcakes you get!' A sentiment after my own heart!

World Map - Lost in Indecision!

Hello Everyone

Sometimes I stand at my craft desk to design a card, and it all goes perfectly. I don't lose anything in my heap of supplies, it don't stamp anything crooked and I love the design I come up with…..and then there are the other days! LOL

These designs happened on one of the other days. I had something in mind and I made about 4 versions and didn't like any of them. In the end I gave up and did something completely different - hence the two cards below.

Now because the design was for a class, I sent both designs to my team for a second opinion and what do you think? Half liked one, half liked the other! No help. :)

So I have decided to let my ladies choose on the night and have the supplies for both the flat, (left) and flip card (right) options.

So tell me - which would you choose to make?

(BTW I used World Map, Open Sea, and the Label Flipcard die).

Something for Baby

Hello Everyone

I had occasion to celebrate two new arrivals recently. Two of my lovely customers and friends welcomed new babies to their families.

I made cards, (of course), and also some little 'thank you' card packs - always useful to a new Mummy. I thought I would share with you today…

The first is a little punch art card - using 1" circle punch and scallop circle it is easy to create a cute baby girl. The greeting stamp comes from That's the Ticket.

The thank you cards were made using the Zoo Babies stamp set - this is just the cutest critter set you ever saw.

I used dimensionals to pop up the elephants' ears and a Top Note die sealed the packages. They look very bold in the photographs, (still working with my new photography set up), they are a bit more subtle in real life.

VIDEO Pop-up card in a box & Disney Card

Hello Everyone

***STOP PRESS*** If you haven't seen it, scroll down to the next post for details of the retirement list . Don't miss out - the Tulips from today's project are on there!

These cards have been everywhere! I have been demonstrating them at my spring events, and some of my lovely ladies have asked for a reminder, so they can make them at home.

I am also sharing a giant version I made for my SIL for a special birthday. Her gift from all the family was a trip to Walt Disney World - she was super excited when she opened her 'reveal' card.

To create the castle I used the Square Lattice embossing folder, the Clockworks stamp set, Silver Glimmer Paper and Open Sea stamp set. On the back you can also see the Perfect Pennants and Around the World stamp sets - and my ONLY non-Stampin' Up! punch - the Mickey shape!
(Several of these items are about to retire - contact me for more info).

Hope you like! Back soon with more.

Going….going…..gone! Stampin' Up! retirement list

Hello Everyone

Well it is that time of year again. Stampin' Up! need to make room in the warehouse for new goodies so for the next month we have the retirement list.

These are stamps, dies, punches, designer paper and accessories that are retiring for ever. They are just 'while stocks last' And once they are gone, they are gone for good. There are some items discounted - look for the red price.

My favourites are Clockworks - such a great set for a man card, and the background stamp En Francais, which has been very popular over the years. If you have the 2012-14 in colours, (Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals etc - you may want to quickly order re-inkers as those go out of stock very quickly.

See the full list HERE - you can order online or contact me in the usual way. I have an order going in on the evening of TUESDAY 2nd and another on the morning of THURSDAY 12th, but don't delay if you MUST have something…when it's gone…it's really gone.

The card below features the Clockworks stamp in the middle.
