Hello Everyone

A little video today especially for Karen, who wanted some tips for assembling the box made with our Mini Milk Carton die from Stampin' Up!

Hope that was helpful Karen! If you have any special video requests, let me know.

Petite Pennants Boat

Hello Everyone

Earlier this month I shared a golf card made with the Pennant Parade stamp set and matching Petite Pennant Punch. Today I am sharing another card using this stamp set.

I used a circle mask to create the sun, circle punch cut the waves and daubed the edges. The greeting and little stars also come from the Pennant Parade set.

Do you like it?

Mixed Bunch Flower Pot

Hello Everyone

I always try to put all my class cards on my blog, but whoops, this one got missed! We actually did it at class almost a year ago. What is clever about this card is seeing how it pops out of the flower pot....

We stamped the flowers with Mixed Buch and punched out with the matching Blossom Punch. The leaves were stamped using the French Foliage stamp set and the greetings come from Petite Pairs.

Hope it was worth the wait.

VIDEO Lattice Card

Hello Everyone

Today I have a video for you that makes a rather special looking card. It uses the Lattice die from the main Stampin' Up! catalogue and gives a very interesting effect.

Did you like today's card? I hope it inspired you to create your own lattice card.

Field Flowers in Wisteria

Hello Everyone

Another class project today. This one features the Field Flowers and Papillion Potpourri stamp sets. We used Wisteria Wonder cardstock with matching ink -plus Elegant Eggplant ink for the top layer.

The stems are stamped in Lucky Limeade ink. I love the lace, which is a demounted wheel called Viola's Lace. (If you want to know how to de-mount a stamp, check out my videos - I have one that shows how it is done).

The technique we used is two step stamping on the flowers. You stamp the bottom layer in the paler colour and the detail with the darker colour over the top.

To do the butterfly, we stamped with Elegant Eggplant then spread the ink with a blender pen before punching out with the matching punch.

I also made a step card version of this card - again there is a video on how to make a step card.

Collage Curios Card

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing one of the cards we made in class this month. We used the delicious Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper, and stamped the background at the bottom of the card with the En Francais background stamp.

We added half of one of the Paper Doilies from the Spring/Summer catalogue from Stampin' Up! We topped it with images from the Collage Curios stamp set. We heat embossed the ring with Gold Embossing Powder.

Do you see that Natural Trim Ribbon - also from the Spring/Summer catalogue. I just cut a couple of inches and frayed the bottom to get that effect.

I picked up the ink colours from the paper for the greeting, (Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Cajun Craze).

Here is another version I did with this design. I used the Soda Pop Tops, whose sizes match up with Collage Curios.

You can see on the close up that while the small Soda Pop Top is as it comes in the packet, the larger one has been run through the Big Shot to flatten our the edges. I played for a while until I got this right and used some thick card to protect my plates.

I hope you like todays cards. Back soon with more.

Oh, Hello Thank You Card

Hello Everyone

Today's project features the Core'dinations Cardstock in Primrose Petals. I started by running it through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. Usually I would use no tabs, but in this case I used tab one on the Big Shot. This means that the embossing is extra deep and you can actually gently tear along the edges of the honecomb shapes to separate them, as you see below. I layered them up on Naturals White cardstock.

Using the Sanding System from Stampin' Up!, I sanded the top to reveal the lighter layer below and make the honeycomb pop.

The greeting and flower come from the Oh, Hello stamp set. I used the Decorative Label punch to create layers for the greeting.

Aviary Tag Card

Hello Everyone

This is a card I made with the oh-so-sweet Aviary stamp set. This stamp set features little birds and cages.

For this card I used Pumpkin Pie for the card base, I cut a tag with the Two Tags die in Riding Hood Red and cut a strip of cardstock in Sahara Sand.

The Sahara Sand strip is stamped with the leaves image from the Confetti background set. I used Crumb Cake ink. The greeting comes from Petite Pairs.

How cute are those little birds on the envelope? Hope you like it.

Hole in One

Hello Everyone

This card features the Pennant Parade stamp set and Petite Pennant punch. There are so many different things you can make with these goodies.

To create the sky, I used two or three Scallop Circle cut outs as a mask and daubed blue sky across them, moving the cut out and daubing again.

Hope you like it. See you on Tuesday for my next video.

Tea for Two Rose Card

Hello Everyone

On Tuesday I posted a video featuring some tiny square swaps I was making. There are all sorts of things you can do with little squares of art like this, but I decided to use on on this card.

It goes so well with the Tea for Two Designer Series Paper. I also used the Victora Lace Trim and added a pearl to the middle of the flower and a little row of them under the square.

The greeting comes from Sassy Salutations, punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch and then layered on a shape cut with the Apothecary Accents die.

I hope you like it. Back on Sunday with something in a completely different style. :)

VIDEO Tiny Collage Curios Swaps

Hello Everyone

A bit of a different video today. This was for a swap I am taking part in. Everyone makes a tiny square of artwork...here is mine! These are just 1 3/8" squares.

Having filmed the video, I went ahead and made 20 - this is my assembly line...

And here they all are...

I hope my fellow demos like them. :) For a project using the one I created on the video, visit again on Friday.
