Happy Easter Everybunny!

Hello Everyone

Now I fell in love with this stamp set as soon as I saw it in the catalogue. It was October, but I couldn't wait to buy Everybunny - it is SUCH a sweet stamp set and could certainly be used at times other than Easter. When it arrived my DH heard me squeaking with delight as I coloured the images - even for a colouring-impared girl like me, the images were SO easy to colour.

Now we are approaching Easter, so I decided it was time to teach a cute project at my March class, so my ladies had time to create their own Easter gifts before the holiday.

This design was a variation on a treat bag designed by my convention roomie Hayley, (click on CONVENTION on my side bar to see some of her fabulous makes). She shared a pretty cardstock version of this design at a shoebox swap a couple of years ago - and it was just crying out for an Everybunny remake!

I chose to use designer paper from the Subtles Stack, so we made a range of pastel colours at class - they looked gorgeous. The ladies each chose which image to use, and whether to punch or cut out. We then used our punched scraps to make a little matching card.

We used the Large Scallop punch and the 13/4" circle punch to create a window and inside we attached a Small Cello Bag filled with chocolate eggs. We did a closure with narrow taffeta ribbon so the gift bag can be opened and re-closed.

So what are you making for Easter?

Embossing Class Card

Hello Everyone

Well this month we did a technique card that used two different Big Shot embossing folders from Stampin' Up!  The first one we embossed the oval image from the Designer Frames, (you get this one and a rectangle in the set). We embossed direct on to the Pool Party card, which gives a very professional finish.

We then stamped the flower image from the Fresh Vintage and punched using the wide oval punch which fits perfectly. A tiny rhinestone finishes the bottom of the card.

Next we stamped a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the same flower image. We stamped several times and then put the cardstock through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folders. You can see a bit easier on the following picture, (I was having lighting problems the day I took these photos!)

Some of us chose to give a distressed finish by daubing with a little Crumb Cake ink.

We finished the project with a greeting from You're a Gem, some co-ordinating Island Indigo ribbon and a couple more rhinestones.

Here is another card I made with a similar scheme...

Hope you like.

Fresh Vintage Two Ways

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing a couple of cards that I have made with the beautiful Fresh Vintage stamp set - FREE during Sale A Bration, you only have a couple of weeks left for those freebies!

I chose some bright colours for this card - Pool Party, Melon Mambo and Island Indigo. I just love all the stamps you get in this set and here I have added a few pearls to get some bling.

And now for something completely different....a much quieter colour combination of Rich Razzleberry, Early Espresso and Pink Pirouette.  I love the way the same stamps can look so different when you choose another group of colours or another design.

So which do you prefer?

So very Charming

Hello Everyone

I mentioned on my last post that my favourite stamp set from the Spring Mini Catalogue is the one called Charming. It was originally designed to go with our Simply Adorned Jewellery range, (more of that in upcoming posts).

However, I love this stamp set used with and without the Jewellery. Here are a couple of projects featuring this stamp set and the Postage Stamp punch. I love the way you can layer the images. The colours for this card are Sahara Sand, Pink Pirouette and Soft Suede.

I used the same colours for this little box and topped it with one of the giant buttons, (also to be found in the Spring Mini catalogue).

Hope you like these Charming little projects. :)

A card for Nina

Hello Everyone

Today's project is a card I made for one of my lovely downline, Nina. I used the Everyday Enchantment designer paper that is available FREE during Sale a Bration.

I created a little pocket using the Two Tags die - the larger tag made the pocket, the smaller one made a little bookmark to go inside.

The main sentiment is from Petite Pairs, the sentiments on the bookmark are from You're a Gem.

I used the ivory Velvet ribbon from the Spring Mini catalogue for the top of the bookmark, tied with some Early Espresso narrow taffeta ribbon.

Other stamps used on this project are Artistic Elements, Tiny Tags and the beautiful Charming. Definitely my favourite stamp set in the Spring Mini catalogue.

Hope you like it :)

More Sprinkled Expressions

Hello Everyone

Today's card uses the Scallop Circle die and Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. The combination of ribbons and the Sprinkled Expressions stamp makes a quick but pretty card.

Sprinkled Expressions is one of the stamp sets you can recieve FREE during Sale a Bration - which ends at the end of this month - get it while you can :)

Spring Mini Trio

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing three cards with a similar theme, all featuring stamps from the Spring Mini Stampin' Up! Catalogue. (Click the Catalogues tab at the top of this blog to see it for yourself).

This first one we made at team training - do you like the torn fabric ribbon? The background stamp set is Paisley Petals and the beautiful peacock comes from Proud Peacock.

The next card once again uses Paisley Petals, this time for both the background and the foreground. The foreground images are coloured using the rock n roll technique. I added a neutrals button and some Linen Thread for added texture.

The third of this trio I used the Creative Elements stamp set. I do love this set - I hope you do too.

So which is your favourite?

Paisley Petals Card

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing the third project from our February classes. With this one my lovely ladies could choose to create a more or less distressed look - but this one is moderately distressed - lots of daubing, but no actual tearing of the gorgeous designer paper.

The greeting comes from Oval All and we used brads and a punched Fancy Flower layer to finish.

The envelope and inside the card are stamped with Spiced Paisley stamp set. We have decided this year to do more stamping on the inside of our cards.
