Punch Elephants

Hello Everyone
...
Today's project was a special request from Elaine, who comes to my second Tuesday class. (Hi Elaine *waves*)
...
At her sister's workshop she set me a challenge. She wanted to know how to make a punch art elephant.
...
So home to my punch rack and I started to experiment. The butterfly punch and heart to heart punch works perfectly for the ears.

The trunks are made from the large heart, (mummy elephant) and the largest of the heart to heart hearts, (baby elephant).

...

My best success was the tail, which is the leaf from the 2 step bird punch, snipped above the first leaf and the leaf feathered to create the tail.

...

I finished the card with the tree stamp from Forest Friends, the leaf from Lovely as a Tree and more leaf punchies.

...

I love them - and my lovely upline Amanda thought they were so cute she asked me to teach them at her quarterly team training day. :)

...

Hope you like!

Circle Circus in Red and Black

Hello Everyone

...

I don't own this stamp set - but I got to stamp with it at a shoebox swap. Michelle Gattrell designed this card - I always like her designs and enjoyed making this one.

They are great colours aren't they? Just Real Red, Black and White - I must use them again soon!

Bellas Blooms Gift Bag

Hello Everyone,

...
I am sharing such a pretty project with you today. This bag is made using a retired and much missed designer paper from Stampin' Up! Still not much longer till the new catalogue is out, with lots of new papers to tempt us all.
...
This bag in a box is a design that has been around forever, but I love it and lots of my ladies had never seen it before.

We used the pretty Bellas Bloom and the marker to stamp technique to create the decoration and sentiment.
...
Hope you like...now how many days to the new catalogue ??? :D

Rock n Roll Kissing!

Hello Everyone
...
Today I am sharing the second of the September class projects. This is the technique project, and we used the kissing technique. In fact we used the Rock n Roll technique too - there was no stopping us!
...
The base of this card is in the stunning Rich Razzleberry. We used the Flower Accent and the two small background stamps, Dot Dot Dot and Fine Flourish from the mini catalogue. We also popped a Flight of the Butterfly stamp on too.
...

We layered and used dimensionals and curled the petals to get a pretty 3D look.
...
And talking of 3D - my next post will be our 3D item from the September classes.

Reflection Technique

Hello Everyone
...
Somehow I missed posting this card that we made during our June classes. It was done using the reflection technique and used the Lovely as a Tree stamp set from Stampin' Up!
...

We used watercolour wonder crayons, blender pens and aqua painters to colour the card and of course also had to create matching envelopes.
...
The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations, my most used greetings stamp set.
...
Hope you like

Monochrome Man Card

Hello Everyone

...
This is a card I taught at my September classes. It is simple but effective and uses the oak tree stamp from Lovely as a Tree.

I think that doing this in black and white makes it very much a 'man card'. For that reason I used the ribbon as a strip, rather than a bow!

...
It was finished with a sentiment from Circle of Friendship.
...
Back soon with the other September class projects. :)

Tidying up Elizabeth's Craft Room

Hello Everyone
...

Today I thought I would share some photos of my craft room. During a training event, my upline Amanda challenged us to organise and tidy our craft rooms.

...

Now I am an organisation freak - so everything does have it's place - but when I work my desk gets piled up with more and more stuff so eventually I am working on a 6" square of space. LOL

...

When I got back from training, I took a peek in my craft room, and this is what greeted me....

Hmmm - yes! And this is just the desk. The rest of the room was just as bad. So the next evening I decided to tackle the disaster area. When it was all done, it looked like this......

As you can see it took a while - it was dark by the time I was done. LOL

...

I am now trying to follow Amanda's advice and stop crafting 15 minutes before I have to, then tidying up so my craft room is neat and ready for the next time I want to create.

...

So confess - how tidy is your craft area right now? :)

...

Back in a couple of days with a project from my tidy craft room!

Prize Draw Box

Hello Everyone

...

I did an event a while ago where I offered a prize draw. I needed a box for people to leave their entries - so of course I had to make one!

...

I used My Sweet Pea in Tempting Turquoise and Chocolate Chip and co-ordinated with the Sweet Pea paper stack papers.

It was a fun project to make and hopefully will be sturdy enough to last for a few events!
Back soon with more projects.

Burger Punch Project

Hello Everyone
...
This was a total CASE from Dawn's Stamping Studio. It made me laugh when I saw it, so I demoed it during the summer as a Bar-b-que invitation.

I used the 1 & 3/4" circle to punch the buns and the burger, the 1" circle for the tomato, and two quarters of a scallop circle for the lettuce.

...

I stamped the bun with the dotty stamp from Bird on a Branch to create the seeded bun! The Cheer & Wishes set has the "You're Invited" stamp that I used.

...

Love it! As Dawn would say. :)

Pretties and Pastels Card

Hello Everyone
...
This is a card I did especially for Lee! She had been asking at a previous workshop about using pastels - so for our latest workshop I made this card to show how versatile those pastels are.

First I stamped the Baroque Motifs swirl using white craft ink on to Rich Razzleberry cardstock, and used a dauber to apply different colours of the pastels to create a pretty background.

...

Next I used two flowers out of the Pretties Kit and also coloured them with the pastels. I finished the card with Pretties Kit half pearls and a diamante brad.

...

Hope you like it as much as Lee did! :)

Butterfly Thank You Cards

Hello Everyone
...
Today I am sharing some thank you cards I made for my lovely friends and customers. I always send a thank you card with every order - and these were the ones I made for July deliveries.
...
The sentiment and background of these cards is the lovely Fresh Cuts stamp, done in Rich Razzleberry ink. I then overstamped with a mini butterfly in the same colour and then highlighted the dots with a white gel pen.

The butterflies are from Flight of the Butterfly, stamped and punched using the co-ordinating butterfly punch. Finally the sentiment was punched using the word window.

Hope you like!

Enough with the birds Elizabeth....!

Hello Everyone
...
Yes I know - I have used this stamp set a lot and My Sweet Pea too- but I do love them!
...
This particular card we made at some recent workshops. I love all the different elements you get in this stamp set; the little dots on the close to cocoa cardstock, the flowers used in white craft ink for the background, as well as the branch, and the bird.
...

We used the soon-to-be retired cocoa and ballet blue cardstock and co-ordinating ribbon.
...
You can also see that the branches and dots make a great tree for the envelope decoration.
...
OK - I promise to stop with the birds for a bit! LOL
